Position Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, you will be responsible for managing a team of professionals through all aspects of the day-to-day operations associated with the HR Department while ensuring full compliance with all state and federal laws.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:   
  • Partner with directors, managers, and supervisors to provide strategic direction and counsel as well as the day-to-day management by leading and clarifying HR initiatives, policies, procedures, and practices that impact Company profitability and improve employee satisfaction.
  • Work with managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues ensuring a balance in representing all parties’ interests.
  • Serve as project leader on HR initiatives. Facilitate leadership, management and employee development programs.
  • Provide direction by clearly and effectively setting course of action for department and direct reports and manage performance by providing regular feedback and reinforcement.
  • Responsible for investigating employee complaints including harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct to name a few.
  • Responsible for providing ongoing support to the leadership team on HR related matters, policies and procedures and ensuring the overall organization of the HR operations.
  • Display consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Responsible for overseeing, handling, and managing all employee relations issues and assisting with employee counseling, discipline, and grievance handling.
  • Review and analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.
  • Must remain open-minded and self-confident with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for supervising 6-8 full-time employees.
  • Manage employee benefit plans including but not limited to; medical, dental, vision, life, disability, supplemental and COBRA insurance plans; 125 cafeteria plans, 401K plan, EAP, Wellness program.
  • Support new managers on Company policies and procedures in conjunction with development and learning team, providing coaching to managers on difficult and complex issues.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary HR development theory and methods and provide suitable interpretation to directors, managers and staff within the organization.
  • Cultivate and utilize external resources in order to monitor issues and concerns in employment law, communicating potential changes to management.

The Insurance Coordinator oversees the compliance of insurance for vendors, subcontractors and clients of Western National Group entities. Ensures all insurance records are updated and current in database systems. Interfaces with insurance brokers and professionals to complete and maintain insurance requirements per contract and project. Advises and communicates with WNG divisions, vendors and subcontractors in regards to insurance contracts and compliance.
Duties and Job Functions:
Obtains and maintains insurance records for new contracts and projects.
Creates sample certificates based on contractual requirements.
Oversees subcontractor compliance for construction projects and maintains insurance records in the system.
Oversees vendor insurance compliance for property management’s vendor program and maintains insurance records in the system.
Communicates with brokers and insurance professionals in regards to insurance coverage, contracts and endorsements.
Communicates with vendors and subcontractors regarding insurance and compliance with regards to the contractual requirements.
Communicates and interfaces with all WNG divisions (as needed) in regards to insurance and compliance.
Monitors insurance cancellation notices received from broker and or carrier. 
Reviews contracts on an as needed basis.
Responsible for creating and obtaining signed deficiency and owner waivers.
Scans and archives insurance certificates and other department documents.
Assists the department with special projects as needed.
